1941 – “Let’s!… Play…! Darts!”
Nenagh Guardian, 9 August 1941
A report copied from the Irish Times, which describes a thriving darts school in an undisclosed rural Tipperary location. Most notable in the report, apart from the casual sexism, is the reference to the owner’s clever electricity generator. No exact location is given for this darting centre of excellence but perhaps one possibility would be the Horse and Jockey (Wilson)?
