Water, porter, petrol and tea. Four liquids that, during the Emergency, regularly got councillors’ danders up. August 1942 and, with the effects of rationing beginning to bite, the members of Cashel Urban Council were not going to allow black marketeering in Cashel: not for, well… all the tea in China.
