Heritage Week; John Hunt 1949-51 excavations unveiled.

Gillian McCormack and the Department of Archaeology UCC have organised a Heritage Week event to mark Gillian’s recent publication of John Hunt’s (of the Hunt Museum) excavations from 1949-51 at Ballingarry ringfort. There will be an illustrated talk, a book launch and a guided tour of the ringfort.

It will take place on the 18th of August at 7:30pm at Glenbrohane Community Hall, Garryspillane, Kilmallock, V35Y328.                                                                                                                                          For those wishing to attend the site tour please bring sturdy footwear and dress for the weather!
