Tipperary Studies Open Day

Go behind the scenes at Tipperary Studies with a tour of the archives. Explore a selection from our collections, see how the digitisation process works and visit the Dúchas Folklore Collections exhibition. Visitors will also hear about a special project dedicated to preserving our sacred heritage.
Heritage at Risk – PARISH: Church Memorial Inscriptions and Local History in Tipperary and Beyond

Speaker: Dr Joe Curran
Church memorial inscriptions are an important resource for exploring Ireland’s past. In this talk, Dr Joe Curran will discuss how those interested in family history, local history and related topics in Tipperary and elsewhere in Ireland can use data from the PARISH project in their research.

Clonoulty Oral Heritage Interviews
