Tipperary People and Places March lecture
Join us in The Source Library, Thurles on Tuesday 19th March for Barry O’Reilly’s lecture The Architectural Heritage of County Tipperary. Barry will take us on a whistle-stop tour of the country, architecturally speaking, with an emphasis on our vernacular buildings. The presentation will also include ways in which our built heritage can be better understood and nurtured.
Barry is based at the National Inventory of Architectural Heritage for the last twenty years and is responsible for the national strategy for built vernacular heritage, A Living Tradition. He is also a student of corrugated iron, vernacular settlements/hamlets, and the vernacular landscape.
