Some good police work from Cashel in 1854. When a Bristol potato buyer was relieved of 52 sovereigns in that town it looked as though his fortune was gone forever. Not so. The perpetrators fulfilled the time-honoured cliché of burying their gold in the ground. Under a bunch of thriving marigolds.
