You are invited to the Knocklong History Weekend 2017 from the 12th to the 14th of May. Highlights include:
• Friday, 12th May 8pm
o Lecture on Paddy Maher: Arrest, Trial & Execution by local historian Dave Dineen. Entrance €5.
• Saturday, 13th May 10am
o Bus tour of local War of Independence sites with historian Tom Toomey including Hospital, Kilteely, Dromkeen & Emly. A new route from last year! Limited numbers: tickets €20 can be reserved by reply to this email or call 086-847 1500.
• Saturday, 13th May 2pm
o Seminar on Cumann na mBan in the War of Independence. Entrance €5. Eminent speakers are:
 Helen Litton: Daly Sisters of Limerick.
 Liz Gillis: Cumann na mBan in Dublin.
 Mary McAuliffe: Cumann na mBan in Munster.
• Saturday, 13th May 5:30pm
o Wreath laying at the Railway Plaque.
• Saturday, 13th May 8pm. Tickets: €10 adults, €5 children u16. Tickets €20 can be reserved by reply to this email or call 086-847 1500, or purchase locally at Meade’s, The Magnet, Creeds or Sullivan’s in Hospital.
o Concert by the Band of the 1st Brigade
• Sunday, 14th May 7:30pm
o An Agóid by Caitríona Ní Mhurchú & performed by the County Limerick Youth Theatre.
o An original play about protest in a post-Trumpian society. Commissioned by Youth Theatre Ireland in partnership with Axis Ballymun. Supported by The Community Foundation For Ireland.
