Great Southern Railways rule book

How do you attract a train drivers attention? Detonators on the line!

Loving some of the rules in this 1933 rule book e.g.

  • No blasting without authority of Engineer
  • When a vehicle is not safe to travel it must be labelled by the Examiner with a red ‘Not to Go’ label on each side, and not allowed to travel
  • Newspapers and packages must not be thrown from trains when passing through stations (unless specially sanctioned) and warn persons who may be in the vicinity

You don’t say…
