Dr. Catriona Clear of NUI Galway highlighting aspects of rural and small town life in Ireland in the 1930s to 1950s through an examination of popular fiction of the time.

Caitriona is author of the popular and accessible social history ‘Social change and everyday life in Ireland 1850-1922’ as well studies on 19th century nuns, the Great War, emigration and many more
