Tipperary Studies has a large collection of commercially produced postcards from well known studios such as Lawrence and Valentine, as well as scenes produced by local businesses such as Carey in Clonmel, Cleary in Carrick on Suir and Carrigen in Tipperary Town.

Between the years of 1950 and 1970 the University of Cambridge undertook an aerial survey of Ireland, and the images relative to Tipperary are also housed in Tipperary Studies, along with a number of collections donated by Thurles Camera Club, dating from the 1970s to the present.

Tipperary Studies would greatly welcome the temporary donation of images of an historical nature to further add to these collections: we do not wish to assume ownership of the pictures, rather the opportunity to scan them and add them to our digital archive of images of Tipperary’s people and places.
