Podcast 42; Bakers and the 1641 Depositions

The deposition of Ann Baker of Lattin,Tipperary taken in 1642 describes the losses of her family; British settlers who had lived in the area since before 1620. After the death of her husband she had to surrender her besieged tower house to the rebels led by a Purcell from Loughmoe. She and her six children were turned out naked onto the roads, all their worldly goods stolen.
