Tipperary Studies Publishes Tipperary GAA Yearbooks Online

In 2016 we in Tipperary Studies, the local history department of Tipperary County Council’s Library Service, began digitising our archive of Tipperary GAA Yearbooks, a collection that stretches back over fifty years to 1965. This work was done in installments and we are now happy to announce that the work is complete. Forty seven volumes of the Yearbook are now available to browse in full, for free, at https://tipperarystudies.ie/digitisation-project/tipperary-gaa-yearbooks/
The Yearbooks have been digitised with the kind permission of Tipperary GAA County Board and the assistance of The Nenagh Guardian, and they provide a wonderful treasure trove of articles, reports and photographs for anyone with even a passing interest in the sporting history of County Tipperary. Whilst forty seven of the Yearbooks have been digitised, forty eight were actually published, meaning that one volume has eluded us thus far. We would be delighted to hear from anyone who is in possession of that mercurial second edition from the late 1960s that they would be willing to lend to us, which we would then scan and return to them as soon as possible.
We hope the Tipperary GAA Yearbooks offer many hours of browsing pleasure and we are delighted to hear any queries you have about this, or any of our other collections held in Tipperary Studies, Cathedral Street, Thurles.
