The Earl of Normanton v tenants

The Earl of Normanton, residing in Hampshire, England, owned over 7,600 acres in Tipperary.
His agent E.S. Rice paid the Property Defense Association for bailiffs to help carry out sales and evictions from the Tipperary estate. 
also included is a Sherrif’s sale of the chattel interest of Catherine Fahey, Kilmore.
The Property Defense Association was set up in 1880 to counteract the Land League and assist landlords who were being boycotted by providing money, supplies or in this case bailiffs.
